Ian,I think he was speaking of the muzzle blast of the 3fg black powder rather than the feel of the thing... as you know, a large charge of 3fg black from a small bore bottle neck cartridge will sweep...

Ian,I got p.4 & 5 from you. That seems to work. My mail downloads from the server every 15 minutes, so breaking them up into two or three messages seems to be just the ticket. Cheers!-Michael

Don't forget - BP is NOT corrosive, merely hygroscopic. Primers were the main culprits of corrosion. If one ived in a dry area or took reasonable care of the firearm, corrosion was not all big a risk....
